Shadow Justice Secretary Impressed by Burnley Students

Sadiq Khan MP, the Shadow Justice Secretary was very impressed when he visited Burnley College recently. He said: " This was my first trip to Burnley and I was really impressed by what I saw. It is good to see that Burnley students now have the state of the art facilities that they deserve. The students asked some searching questions and we had a interesting discussion on a range of subjects including votes for 16 year olds, devolution and citizenship education. Julie Cooper said: "Young people are the future of this country and they need to be listened to. The students we met were a credit to the college and to Burnley and I want them to know that their views matter and that the next Labour Government will take the concerns of young people very seriously.
